Mrs. Hanksâ Learning Club is designed for a parent, legal guardian, or authorized teacher to create and manage the account. Children should not create their own accounts or provide contact or payment information. An adult controls the learning session. We encourage a scholar nickname instead of a full legal name, and a class or group name instead of individual student names.
We may store the adult account email, the scholarâs first name or class/group name, approximate age, selected home language, practice mode, session length, and learning-progress data such as sounds practiced, attempts, mastery status, and lesson-level progress snapshots used to recover interrupted saves. For gifts, we may also store the giver name, recipient name and email, optional gift message, redemption code, payment status, and redemption status.
A parent or guardian may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their scholarâs saved information and may ask us to stop future collection by emailing support@mrshanks.com. We will verify the requesterâs authority before sharing or deleting information. Teachers should use a class or group name, not individual student information, unless the school has authorized the service and its data practices. We do not use a teacherâs personal checkbox as a substitute for school authorization.
Adults may separately opt in to receive Learning Club teaching tips, news, and offers. We keep the adult email address, their selected audience type, and their consent preference to send these updates. Every marketing message includes a way to unsubscribe; unsubscribing stops promotional email without affecting purchased Learning Club access. Account, gift and purchase-related messages may still be sent when needed.
Payment information is handled by our payment provider. Learning Club does not need to store a full payment-card number in the learning profile. Gift records are used to confirm payment, deliver or share redemption information, and prevent the same gift from being redeemed more than once.
We use account and learning data to provide the product, save progress, adapt future practice, support account access, confirm purchases, and understand where the product experience can be improved.
Our public adult-facing marketing and checkout pages may use the Meta Pixel and server-side purchase measurement to measure website visits, checkout starts and confirmed purchases. For attribution, we may retain adult marketing-source information such as campaign tags, the first landing page, referrer, Meta click ID and Meta browser identifiers. We do not intentionally send scholar names, ages, learning answers, progress, child profile information, gift redemption codes or customer email addresses to Meta through these advertising events. Meta measurement is not installed on scholar learning or progress pages. Meta may process device and browser information according to its privacy policies.
We may record basic product events such as a landing-page visit, checkout start, payment confirmation, and session completion. These events are used to understand the purchase funnel and product performance and are not intended to profile a child for advertising.
We use Base44 to host accounts, application records and learning data; Wix/Base44 Payments for checkout and order records; and connected email services for transactional or opted-in messages. Meta tools are limited in our app code to adult-facing marketing and purchase measurement, not scholar progress screens. Providers may process information needed to deliver those services under their own applicable terms. Payment and support records may need to be retained for legitimate accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling and legal obligations. We do not promise a fixed retention period where one has not been operationally established.
A grown-up can remove saved profiles, skill-progress records, and lesson-level progress snapshots through account settings. This does not remove login credentials, all historical service records, or information retained by payment providers. To review, correct, request deletion of additional information, or ask us to stop collecting scholar information, email support@mrshanks.com. We will review requests and explain any legally required records we cannot delete.
For product support, privacy questions, or account-deletion requests, email support@mrshanks.com.
